Executive Summary

To meet the goals of the ASEAN Economic Community and the ASEAN University Network, academics in Cambodia and Laos need highly educated and skilled people for social and economic development of their two countries.

The aim of this project is to develop a Training of Trainers programme for English Language Education and Research which can be used effectively in the two countries.

Questionnaires and surveys are used to obtain data from the Cambodian and Laotian academics to determine the needs of and skills required by these academics.

A training programme that meets these needs is developed to be used in selected institutions in the two countries to test the effectiveness of this programme.
